Derelict is produced by North West performance company Angel Club (north) and is currently programmed by their Associate Producer and Programmer Catherine Shaw. The original programme was solely funded by a grant from UCLan’s Contemporary Arts Development Group (Cadg). The Derelict platform has been developed out of an old platform of the same name that the university hosted at it’s old centre of arts between 2003 and 2008. Originally named after the rundown neo-classical building that hosted it, the original platform supported a plethora of emergent artists and gave crucial support to such artists as Levantes Dance Theatre, Until Thursday, Ben Faulks, Oliver Bray, Jamie Fletcher, Wayne Steven Jackson, Pigeon Theatre, Krissi Musiol, Jenny Lawson, Caution Horses, Escape Theatre and Lena Simic.
Most recently we have programmed: Made In China, Search Party, Two Destination Language, Leentje Van de Cruys, Jo Bannon, Nicki Hobday + Sara Cocker, Lowri Evans, Drunken Chorus, Lindsay Bennett, Krissi Musiol, Massive Owl Theatre, Aliki Chapple, Greg Wohead, Hunt and Darton, Search Party + Action Hero
