Art of the City is Derelict’s co-production group based in Preston that aims to develop a deeper and longer-lasting relationship with our audiences and communities. The group formed from a city centre engagement project with the intention of creating a conversation with as wide a range of ages, backgrounds and experiences as possible. The group now steer our arts programme, assist with its production, engage with community partners, develop their own projects, and in turn, receive ongoing benefits including skills development and tickets to shows.

We want Art of the City to be a true representation of Preston’s many communities and deliver a co-production model that works for everyone involved in a meaningful way. We are making a promise that Derelict Art of the City will only produce, engage and promote events that rise out of conversations with the people of Preston.

If you have an interest in the arts and culture of the city and would like a say in its development, we would love you to join the conversation.
