Derelict are looking for members of the public to take part in an exciting, fun and immersive street performance at this years Lancashire Encounters Festival.
We are keen for people of all ages and backgrounds to join us as we take to the streets of Preston to celebrate Lancashire on Saturday 22 September 2018.
The Ancient Greeks had a stage in the centre of town called ‘The Agora’, it was a space for artists, philosophers, local business people and even the general public to say, sell or do practically anything they wanted to!
This year at Encounters, Derelict are offering the same opportunity to the good people of Lancashire. We are putting 3 small open access stages under the canopy at the New Market Hall at the top of Orchard Street.
So if you are a baker, butcher, poet, dancer, farmer, painter, actor with something you want to say or do, then get in touch with us, we’ve got the stage.
We are open to discuss any idea you may have.
Date: Saturday 22nd September 2018.
Each presentation can be no longer than 15 minutes and will take place between 12pm - 4pm.
If you’re interested in either of Derelict’s call outs please email firstname.lastname@example.org with an expression of interest by Monday 3 September 2018.
Please note that this is a voluntary project and is free to take part.
